Update From Grim’s Family: We’ve received the necessary funds to get her cataract surgery. Grim will be having cataract surgery on 2/1/10. Thanks to everyone who helped make this possible.
Grim is a 2-year old terrier mix at the Rock Springs, Wyoming Humane Society. She suffers from cataracts and needs sight-saving surgery. We are trying to raise the necessary funds to have the surgery performed. Many people are interested in adopting Grim until they find out about her eye condition. She desperately needs this surgery to save her sight and improve her chances of getting a forever home.

They are charging as much or MORE than doctors these days. Let them loosen up their coffers for a change. I am broke

About how much does this kind of surgery cost?
Grim’s surgery is going to cost approx. $1500. That is a reduced rate given to rescue groups.
So it’s not $235? That’s the total needed that is displayed on my screen so I’m a little confused because it says that is also the total raised…
The the $235 is not the total needed. This is an open Chip in, meaning there is no total listed because the amount was unknown. The $235 is the amount that has been raised so far.
Now that I see there is an estimate of $1500 I will set that as the total to reduce confusion.
