wanted everyone to know that corporal klinger is proving to be a sweet guy. i took him home last night. he looks very tiny with much of his hair shaved off. and he has not snapped at me once. he's doing much better in the pain department, and has been letting me put a sling under him to help him use his hind legs. going up and down the stairs is the big challenge but with leash and sling, he's doing it. and he's got a good appetite.

Cooper is my puppy. He is the most loving dog and has been great regardless of his current condition. At 70lbs he still thinks he's a lab dog. If you would like more pictures of Cooper or any additional information please feel free to email me at atarkey@msn.com. I am a college student and adopted Cooper, little did I know what I'd end up with. But when I think about it I do not think about the costs, as I have spent thousands of dollars already, but I think of how much joy Cooper brings me and how waking up and having him there makes every day better. I could not bare to lose him. Thank you to anyone who is willing to help financially, and if you cannot then I ask you keep him in your prayers. Thank you.

Hi Jennifer:

Just an encouraging note... We had a similar issue with our 9 yo rotty. We applied for Care Credit. Our Rotty had to have a disc removed and she did wonderful after the surgery at UCD. We were concerned about putting her through that kind of surgery at 9 but her quality of life was returned.

I pray you find the help you need for Browndog. Wish we could help more than prayers but they can help more than any amount of money!

God Bless!

Has anyone ever heard of canine Chiropractors? I got an email today from someone with a link to www.avcadoctors.com. Suggesting I should look into it for Browndog. I would like to contact one in my area but I do not see any active Chiropractors in the Sacramento. Does anyone know anything about Canine Chiropractors, and is it a good idea?

That was pretty fast! Wow, you have a great start. Let's hope there is more to follow. Every penny counts, the only amount that is ever too small to count is the one that wasn't shared.

Jan. 20,
Marty is HUGE!!!! He isn't a chubby, just super long! I can not believe how much weight he's gained. We hope to get his shots and neutering done by mid February, if the vet his health. Happy New Year to all who made it possible for Marty to see 2010. His hair from where he was shaved is still a little stubby and awkwardly growing in- haha. He's on a strict pumpkin/wet food diet, and LOVING that he gets to eat allllll the time to gain more weight. His new favorite toy is wrapping paper!! He's still working on growing out that big, bushy tail that I am soooo in love with.
Marty is doing FABULOUS to say the least. He is SO happy and loving life. He is so loved and here solely because of your help! Thank you so much for making it possible for me to wake up to a little kitten licking my face or biting my toes. I'll update once we schedule his vet visits to finalize his healing. Take care! :)
